Feature differences by deployment option
Splunk Agent Observability is offered as an on-premises deployment or as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) deployment integrated with Splunk Observability Cloud. Both deployment options provide the same features, with the following exceptions:

- Splunk Agent Observability results don’t appear in Splunk Observability Cloud global search.
- Trace inputs and outputs are visible on Splunk Agent Observability pages, but are not visible on Splunk Application Performance Monitoring (APM) pages.
